Please note: Friday class will end at 1p to allow for celebratory meal experience

Designed For Ages 10 - 15

Our instructors will work with your child to teach kitchen basics + elevated meal preparation. Each camp day will feature two dishes, covering a variety of regions, culinary techniques and day parts.

Skills & Lessons:

  • Kitchen & Knife safety

  • Knife cuts (slice, dice, chiffonade)

  • Measuring & Mise en place

  • Proper cleanup & teamwork roles

  • Seasoning Basics (salt, fat, acid, heat)

  • Building flavor layers

  • Emulsifying Vinaigrettes

  • Baking vs. Cooking

  • Pan Roasting

  • Plating Basics

  • Food Photography

Activities:

  • Pantry Challenge

  • Taste testing seasoning levels

  • Shopping & prep plan on a budget

Hands On Cooking:
Each day will have a primary focus; however, mise en place items may shift from day to day to prepare for the following day.
